Hi folks… my names is Pete Clayton. I’m Essex born and Plymouth bred and still very much rooted in the heart of Plymouth where I have lived most of my life. No, I’m not a sea swimmer, but I do love living by the coast. I’ve been drawing man and boy and I am using this platform as an opportunity to grow and give back to the wider creative community.
When I’m not working I’m usually spending time with my family and partner in crime (life), Sam, with whom we have 4 kids between us. A very full house indeed.
By day (and sometimes night) I am an senior illustrator, animator and graphic designer, and have been working in the creative industry for coming up to 20 years. I’m a seasoned, creative vet you might say. My hair is very “salt and pepper” at the moment anyway.
I love my job and my life and feel very blessed to have loving perople around me and to be able to live a creative life, and of course make a pound or two along the way.

About Illofy
When I was starting out in illustration, I often wished there was a place I could go for honest advice, useful tools, and a spark of inspiration. That’s what I’m building here, a creative playground where illustrators of all levels can find practical tips and industry insights from the blog, as well as creative assets from the store.
Most of the advice here is written from my own experience and learnings. I’m also opening up the site to other illustrators with interviews call Illoviews. The aim with this spotlight feature is to give all artists a voice and platform.
Ultimately, this is creative a space for me to spread my wings outside the world of social media, where I can write and where admirers can help support the work I do.
